- EycomExplorerNice park and the good part is the 1/2 price for senior (age 65) Florida residents:). Be sure to stop at O'Steens restaurant, 205 Anastasia Blvd, for fried shrimp. It looks like a small dive, often with people sitting outside in a long line waiting for a seat. It's a landmark with locals. Here's a tip... order a takeout which takes about 10 minutes and you can take it home to the SP a short distance down the road.
- EycomExplorersorry... double post
- joloooteExplorerJust got back from there. Great park & city visits. Old town streets are VERY narrow. Many are 1 way. We stayed at the state park, mid week, in our 34' Class'A' w/TOAD. We asked for a large site to fit us. The older lady at the desk was very upset that we pulled up to her booth window instead of parking at the lot and walking to HER booth even tho we werere the only ones there. Ordered us to drive all the way into the park, turn around and come back to park PROPERLY! We had to unhook the TOAD because the parking sites weren't long enough. Although during that rainy week, many sites were available, She gave us site #68 which is the worst site for large RV's. Its long enough but narrow with a dog leg. Oh well...:(
- linnemjExplorerO'Steen's Restaurant is a must! We went there twice when we camped nearby. Not only are the shrimp good but the fried scallops are fantastic!
When you reserve at Anastasia be careful of site size. Almost all of the sites are narrow and you want to be sure your rig will fit. We really enjoyed camping there and riding our bikes to the old town. - tundraman67ExplorerStayed there a couple of years ago, daughter went to Flagler College - great park and wonderful town. The beaches are really nice this time of year. Creek Side restaurant is really good a little hard to find but they have live music on Friday/Saturday nights.
- wxtoadExplorerWe've been there several times and have written a photo review of the park. Very nice place.
Have a great trip!
Ted H. - _tiredTeacherExplorer IIThanks all! We'll be staying there 3 days mid-Jan. before moving to the Nature Coast.
