- ken56ExplorerAh the memories. I used to live on Mingo rd. when I attended Spartan School....but that was 40 years ago. How time flies.
- TxGearheadExplorer IILooking at it on Google map I would agree on Warrior.
Only time I'm in Tulsa is for the races, so not familiar with any but Expo. And yeah, looking at Google map, Expo is about 3 miles from I-44. The same for Bell Cow. - DinTulsaExplorerIf you're driving through Tulsa on 44, Warrior campground in West Tulsa on Union is close to the highway for an easy off\easy on stop.
If you're wanting to be close to the interstate, expo campground is at least 3 miles off 44 and bell cow lake is a distance from the road. I live in Tulsa close to warrior, I use their dump station from time to time. I have no affiliation with the campground, just utilized their facilities. Their pads are flat and water\electric is good. - TxGearheadExplorer IILook at the Expo Square campground in Tulsa. A few blocks north of I-44, S.Harvard Ave. at 15th St. It's an asphalt parking lot with full hook ups. Designed for participants at horse shows and whatever is going on at the arena. I stay there every January for The Chili Bowl midget auto races. Has laundry and showers. Call first and be sure they don't have a big event going on.
- JaneNLeeExplorerThanks for the info, I do not want to drive too far off the interstate. I will look up Bell Cow Lake . CU on the road
- scout_dadExplorerMustang Run is in Mustang OK, agree nice campground but far away from Tulsa. If you don't need any hook ups, there is CW in Tulsa you could spend the night perhaps?
In Chandler OK, there is Bell Cow Lake not too far of I-44 how ever not sure you would fit and it still a way from Tulsa. - rexlionExplorerIf you like to be close enough to be lulled to sleep by the interstate traffic noise, Mingo is the place. ;)
- JaneNLeeExplorerThanks for all your input, I like the ones right off Interstate on and off when traveling. thanks you all
