Need RV park in Tampa/St Pete area for only a week

Would appreciate some help. Our plans have changed. DH and I need an RV park (full hook ups) for our 35' Class A w/2 slides for Jan. 12 - 17th in Tampa/St Pete area. So many I have checked out are for snowbirds and are all full. Even Lazy Days is full! Any suggestions? Checked RV Park Reviews.com and every place I checked there is also full or is described as a "dump". Know it's the 'busy season' but come on!!! LOL
Doesn't have to be by the water and could be up or down the coastal area, but would like paved site if possible, but right now not too fussy at all! Thanks in advance.
  • Try this its a little south of SP Pete we got stuck in the area and got in there on short notice

  • Not sure if this will help you, but the RV Super Show is going on at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa January 14-18. They have camping available during the show. I don't think you'll be able to get FHUs though. Check the site out below. Along the lower left side there is some info about camping.

  • Check out Windward Knoll Mobile Home Park in Thonotosassa (just east of Tampa). They have RV sites in the back. My MIL lives there and when we visited for Christmas there were sites open in the back. Don't know the rates, but know there are some snowbirds staying there now. Hope this helps.

  • I stayed in Roberts MH & RV park (St Pete) a few winters ago. They are mostly MH, but have a section for RVs. It probably doesn't get great reviews from RVers, but it wasn't bad. They had plenty of room around the holidays when I was there.
  • You can try this. My parents were RVers and tried the Keys one year. Didn't like it (too busy), so they cut over to I-75 on the west coast. They found several RV parks in the Brooksville area, about 50 miles north of Tampa and 60 miles west of Orlando. Streets and trips shows 10 CGs within 15 miles of Brooksville.
I don't remember which one they chose, but they liked the area because it was kind of rural and laid back.
