NHRA U.S. Nationals Camping - Indy

All-

Have any of you camped at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis for the US Nationals? I am considering boon docking inside the facility as the campground next door is fairly expensive. Any insight would be appreciative! Thanks.

  • camp as close to the track as you can unless you need the hook ups. Race camping and partying is the best.

    Ah yes..my first time...
  • I ended up reserving a site across the road. It is an open field and it is 25.00 per night.
  • You can arrive at the campground on Wednesday, 30th of August and stay until the following Tuesday.

Have never camped in the parking lot, but in the pit area they have trucks that come around daily to empty waste tanks and refill fresh tank. Last year was $20 for a pump out/fill up. I would think that they would service the parking lot side as well.

Did you camp there last year? I have never been to the US Nationals.

  • They let you park there all week for 125.00. I know they do allow generators.
