Niagara Falls, Canadian side

I have already done a search. Read some reviews that conflict with Good Sam ratings. So I'd like to throw this out and see if I can get more info. We prefer full hook ups, but could do with just electric if we had to. Would like to be within 30 minutes of falls. What cg would you recommend on Canadian side? No children with us, so don't need activities. I know about Four Mile Creek campground on US side but was wondering what cg are recommended on Canadian side?
  • I very highly recommend the Fifty Point Conservation Area on the shore of Lake Ontario (somewhat between a US National Park and a US State Park). This was recommended to us by an Ontario couple who are our friends and who stayed in their fifth-wheel in our back yard here in Texas. Maybe just a few minutes further out from the Falls, but well worth it in my opinion. That is, for sure, where we would go back for any visit to Niagara Falls.
  • Fifty Point is a great place to stay - $50 Can. a night for full hookups. Only drawback for visiting N.F. is finding parking at the falls which is about 35 minute drive.
If you stay at one of the 3 main c.g.'s at the falls, there is a shuttle to take you to the tourist areas. I think you can buy passes that cover bus shuttle service and some admissions. The KOA is a popular choice and there are 2 others in the same vicinity but I can't remember the names. Riverside C.G. is acceptable and is on the road facing the Niagara River about 10 minutes from the Falls. We live in the area and avoid going to the falls in the main tourist season so I am not up to date on prices etc. there. A search on here will get hours worth of reading though.
  • We stayed at Campark Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario . It would also be a good choice.
  • We stayed at the KOA near the Falls....a couple miles. Pretty nice place..... They had a trolley that came by often and took us right to the Falls. Very nice!
  • We used to go to the Falls every year and we would stay at King Waldorf's - near Marineland and very close to the Falls.

We don't like long drives between the CG and what we came to see.
  • I think just about any of the campgrounds near the falls are OK. we stayed at the Jellystone and it was nice. they had a free shuttle to the falls which was great.

The KOA looked like a nice place also.
  • We're booked at Riverside Park Motel and Campground, haven't been there as yet but it was recommended to me. Owner seems real nice on the phone. About a 20 minute drive to the falls.
  • We've stayed at Campark Resort a couple of times and liked it. It's been a few years though.
  • We used the KOA at Lundy's Lane, although it was about 9 years ago. Nice place and they had a tour bus that originates right from the CG. Sites are a bit snug and nothing special, but we only needed a place to sleep.
