We are planning on visiting the Falls in July then going across Canada to Michigan to a wedding. Could some one recommend a campground in Niagera Fall and what to see while we are there. How long should we plan on visiting the Falls ? Thanks, Bobby

I am looking forward to the posts as I am doing the same thing but in reverse in August. I have made reservations at the jelly stone rv park on the Canadian side. After looking to me it seemed they offer a lot of extras. Yes you pay for them but may make the trip more fun. When I made the reservation the person was sure to let me know that its a kid type of park. I said thanks for the info but its always fun to watch kids run around.

The wife and I spent a week there, didn't camp, and did something different everyday. You can probably do a different falls/river activity 4-5 days. The Queens highway has wineries at just about every exit on the way to Toronto. Toronto is worth a day visit and is a short drive. There is a casino. Old Fort Niagara, 300 years old.Anyway, we spent a week and didn't do everything.

We liked the Branches of Niagara Campground. http://www.branchesofniagara.com/Fairly new park, clean, and not a far drive from the Falls. This is of course on the US side, if that's your intention. Also there is a theme park at the same exit if that's your thing. Good Luck !

We went about 10 years ago and stayed on the Canadian side at the KOA on Lundy's Lane basically just up the street from Niagara Falls. A city shuttle bus would stop at the entrance to the campground, so it was really easy to visit downtown Niagara without having to drive. I am not sure if anything has changed.Lots to do there. We had dinner at the Skylon Restaurant overlooking the falls, and it was great - both food and views. My son and I visited the power station up river and thought it was neat. They have a short tour, you go down 27 stories to see the generators.
