No one is heading south?

Are we the only ones who went south this year? :?

  • Nobody arriving in South Texas and none expected. (I wish)

Actually, about like every one of the last ten years.
  • We got to Yuma the 10th of Oct , very little traffic in the Foothills, now steady stream of traffic where ever you go
  • We're leaving New York State for Florida on Nov. 19th We woke to 6 inches of snow this morning. Getting out of here can't happen fast enough!
  • Highway 95 going through Lake Havasu City, AZ has lots and lots of RV's traveling south. The business's in town have seen a big increase also.
  • Heading to southern tip of Baja Mexico in March, currently in northern Vermont, heading to north central Pa. in a week or so. Love camping in the cold.
  • No one is heading south??? Of course they are. No different than any other year.
I have seen many RVs arriving in Mesa already. The RV parks in our part of town are beginning to see a lot of activity. The Canadians are arriving also. My neighbor works in the office at one of the larger ones. She reports they are super busy already, and have asked her to work more hours.
The grocery stores are definitely getting more busy....and Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Target. Not to mention the restaurants. Go to any McDonalds early in the morning and you will see table full of snowbirds drinking coffee and visiting. Oh yes...there are plenty of them here already.
  • Heading south on Nov 20--later than I would prefer. 3700 k to Florida.
  • Well Barb, friends that have been coming in to Yuma for the last month report heavy southbound RV traffic. On Nov. 1 a street that intersects with four RV parks, the Yuma County Sheriffs Dept. probably should have sent out a deputy for traffic control. Motorhomes, fifth wheels going three different directions. Yesterday afternoon sitting out on the VFW patio on US 95 there was a fairly constant steady string of south bound RV traffic.
