Yes, I'm aware of higher rates in October & Helen's Octoberfest, along with reservations getting harder to make. That's why I am checking into reservations now. Come October, I probably won't be able to get ANY reservations. Again, appreciate any suggestions.

If you run out of full hookup the DESOTO STATE PARK at Fort Payne is not too far away. They have upgraded their site and I know it has 50AMP service but not real sure if it has sewer hookups or not

We always go to Cloudland Canyon at Trenton GA but it only has electric and water. Both DESOTO and CLOUDLAND have large active water falls and a hugh canyon on LOOKOUT MTN off of I59...

Are you aware Helen has Octoberfest during that time? campground rates are generally higher and reservations are harder to come by. Good luck on finding what you want.

He wants FHU's. Look at River Bend in Hiawassee or Track Rock CG in Blairsville

Unicoi state park is closest. Vogel state park is not too far. Bald Mountain is a good choice, though a litter further north.
