Would someone who has camped at the North Rim -After - 15 October ( when the facilities close except for day use only) let me know their experience and concerns. I have reservations there 26-27-28 Oct. I do understand the road closure business due to weather conditions. Any information would be appreciated. Many Thanks

IMHO you are going at a Great time - The most important thing to remember is to be stocked up as it is CLOSED and NOTHING is open. We usually stay a good bit further away and drive the toad in around Thanksgiving - One year we ran across a group that had just Boondocked along the side of the Road, didn't talk with them but pretty sure they had fun. I love the fact that the sun is so low it just looks beautiful and the shadows are something else.
For the most part the issue is Snow and the fact that they will not plow it once it starts, so just keep an eye on the weather -from my experience the snow will usually not hang around more than just a short time until December then it stays till Spring.
Enjoy the drive,
