Northwestern Arkansas

We are thinking of resting for a few days somewhere around Mountain Home, AR or a similar area in Arkansas. We have a 36' Class A plus toad. Looking for a nice, quiet spot where we can spend a few "down" days. I see there are a number of COE parks and other campgrounds. We don't fish or hike much, just want to rest. Does anyone have any favorites to recommend?
  • Bull Shoals Lake. The dam site park is spectacular and a good place to kick back.
  • Denton Ferry RV Park in Cotter (about ten miles west of Mountain Home) is a pleasant place on the White River that I can recommend.
  • X2 on Bull Shoals SP. HIGHLY recommend it just to sit-back and relax. We attempt to go every year for two weeks. But if you do plan on staying there you need to start making reservations NOW....it is very popular and difficult at times to get in. And length of RV should not be an issue.
  • If you want to call Bull Shoals; To contact the park: 870-445-3629
  • For you good folks who suggested Bulls Shoals. Just out of curiosity, I tried to look it up on RVParkreviews but nothing was listed. I don't plan on going anytime soon, but I am originally from around that area and was just curious. (hoping for some photos) Could it be listed under another name? A name of a town perhaps? Thanks.
  • Its called Bull Shoals White River State Park. It is located by the town of Bull Shoals, AR.
  • Robinson Point COE is a good campground and Bidwell Point COE both are off Hwy 412 and are about 10 miles from Mountain Home.Camp at both several time a year
  • Thanks, sounds great. We also found a spot that sounds good en route up there - Withrow Springs State Park near Huntsville. We're on our way!
