I figure most folks that earned these discounts probably camp more often than those that don't. So, the bottom line of campground revenue probably evens out. IF we camp twice instead of once, we still pay the same fees. And, we don't use HU generally in national parks - so, no real duplicate services.
We specifically camp mostly in state and national forests and parks because it helps those parks - and because we enjoy those type camping experiences rather than private parks with pools and TV etc. We go more often and we stay longer because we get discounts we earned.
