I would not worry too much about that time of year. As long as there is an ocean breeze blowing (which seems like all the time!), there should not be much of a problem with mosquitoes on the beach. At the campground you are probably going to have some mosquitoes or non-see-ems (gnats) during dawn and dusk periods, especially if there is no wind. The only time we have experienced any significant bug problem on the beach is when the wind shifts and comes off the land, and that can bring biting flies.
