Mosquitos or wind. Well if you have wind, you won't have the Mosquitos. Lol
I would probably be more worried about it on the sound side than on the ocean side. Although the distance would make much of a difference. We've lived in nc for 9 years now and never have been to the outer banks. Closest we made was a trip to Wilmington last year and we went out to Carolina and wrightsville beaches.
