Was at the KOA last week.
Worst part of the trip is the traffic on 158 trying to go into the OBX. Sat for 2 1/2 hours to go 8 miles on Saturday.
The KOA is being redone very nicely. Most everything is back, and better. Only thin that could be better was the WiFi.
They were also putting in the dune fencing on the beach side to rebuild the dunes. They didn't look any lower than the dunes at Camp Hatteras.
A word of warning.....Thursday night seems to be the night for cooler/alcohol theft. We had several coolers gone through, and bottles of wine and beer taken. We talked to management, and it turns out that several others also reported the same thing. The have had several instances of this in previous weeks also.
We think it is local rentals next door, that have teenagers.
