Frontiertown and Fort Whaley are sister campgrounds owned by same corporation. Frontiertown is waterfront. Fort Whaley is more inland. We used to always go to Frontiertown when our kids were younger, now we go to Castaways. We really prefer Castaways. The sites are a little nicer. We love the beach area with the beach front bar and daily live music. FYI- Castaways has become really popular-can be hard to get sites. If you are thinking of going this summer-better call quickly. Most sites are probally already booked.
**Have never stayed at Fort Whaley-most people only go there because Frontiertown is full. You can use all the facilities at Frontiertown if you stay at Fort Whaley.
