Ocean Lakes and other MB campgrounds

Good morning! We are headed to Myrtle Beach for 4th of July and have been able to get a last minute reservation at Ocean Lakes, but after doing some research and reading TONS of reviews, I am a little nervous about how busy and crazy it will be. I have 4 small kids (ranging from 8-2) and worry that it might not be the best time to visit that campground. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. For the most part we plan to relax and maybe throw a football on the beach, and my husband was hoping to do some fishing.

We originally had ressies at Huntington Beach, but it was a little further than we wanted to be and my husband wasn't crazy about the skeeters that friends of ours complained about. I am starting to wonder if this would have been a better choice for us for the little ones to just run free on the beach and play.

    And always remember about your kids....They WILL leave, BUT...they WILL return too

    Surf City was FULL also. Lady said she didn't know of anyone who had even 1 site. Oh well, inland we shall stay for now.

    Both our's quit during college. Came back with friends. I wouldn't trade it for the world. The 2 GBs LOVE to camp. Get mad when it leaves with out them. The other 2 GBIL. Don't care so much about it. They are mostly into electronic games, and there are none in the TT. No room for anyone to sit, and play games on the TV.

    So to us. It really doesn't matter about the amount of Golf carts, as we have plenty of noise, and crowd, all on our own. But it is quieter where we stay, and they can ride their bikes. PL roads except 2, don't go all the way thru. They kind on make a u turn. So carts don't go down them.

    I guess we are lucky as our 22 yr old son has no desire to go with us. Lol we always invite him, especially when we go to MB, but he is usually working. I think he gets one week of vacation a year and he doesn't wanna spend any of it with mom and dad. Lol

    Our 11 yr old has no choice, but she likes going anyway.

    It's why we bought it. DD, and fam are 4. They go every time the TT moves. ( we haven't been alone in years:() DS got married, and she came with 2 children. DS said. there isn't room for us. So. I fixed it. This one sleeps 10 easy, Couple more if we had too.

    We just don't spend too much time inside. It is mostly just for sleeping. Everything else is done outside.

    It is what it is. Can't tell one they can't come, and let the other one come. So they all get to go. BUT. I get the big bed. Of course.

    The 2 bunks are full sized bed as well. The table is oversized, and longer than reg dinet beds, and of course, the sofa is a jackknife.

    Sorry that too many people in a camper. Our TT slept 10, but we had no more than 3 of us in it.

    Wanna see crazy. Come by my site. We have 10 people including 4 children staying in our TT. Looks to be a great time.

    BTW. The TT is designed for 10
