We have stayed at all three of the big ones. We have not been back since 2008 as we do not find it as relaxing and quiet as the campgrounds on the Outer Banks. The time limit on the dogs on the beach bugs us too but the golf carts are really bothersome to us. We carried our bikes and yes we could ride them but honestly it was almost like crossing the street in New York City-----dangerous. As someone posted it will have to be early morning or late afternoon to really have room to play football on the beach. Generally it is umbrella to umbrella in the heat of the day.
