I guess I should make the disclaimer that none of the mentioned places would appeal to me. I am a mountains, long range views, trees, boulders, and hiking trails type of person.
That said, I do hate golf car campgrounds and try to avoid them. Ride a bicycle, walk, whatever, get off of those danged cars. There are two major health problems in our society, lack of exercise is one of them.
When the campground has 29 miles of roadway , a mile of beach front and is on 300+ acres......almost 900 campsites & numerous other permanent sites..... It is hard to not have a golf car....... hard to carry stuff 1/2 mile to the beach chairs etc) Yes we walk daily several miles but we also use the golf car.....that is alot of the fun.............kinda like cruzin when we were kids............. get to check out the other homes & campers, meet new people........... Absolutely Love It......
Years ago we lived near VA Beach ...so never went.....we vacationed in the mountains.....Now we live in the mountains so we vacation at the beach (MB) usually at OL....... LOL go figure
