- Shot-N-AzExplorerGood job, OP. I'm very familiar with the area and was glad to see the vistas. We couldn't go on our typical spring trip there this year.
I can't believe the angst being demonstrated in this thread. - wbwoodExplorer

- wbwoodExplorerThe poster wasn't selling anything. He was showing some drone footage of the areas of the campground. He did give some information about he park. Was it a review in my opinion? No. But people do not need to leave rude remarks. Its one thing to take off the gloves and speak your mind, defending yourself, but to go out of your way and make rude comments is not needed and serves no point. Kind of trollish. Unspoken words can often be louder than those that are spoken, Confucius say.
And the ad you see was placed there by YouTube. And more than likely something they felt you would be interested in based on your internet viewing habits. With YouTube, you can opt to pay for monthly service,YouTube Red, and not get any commercials. - avanExplorerOK, I don't understand the criticism of the comments here. IMO there is much to be gained. It was the Original Poster who put this out there as a campground review. It is nothing close to a CG review and even the OP in a followup post says that he just wanted to show a "view of the area". So the original post promising a campground review, even by the OP's subsequent opinion, didn't deliver. I just spent a month at Ocean Waves so I was interested in what this review had to say. It said NOTHING about Ocean Waves. And after I spent the minute or whatever watching this vid, I then got a commercial (for what I'm not quite sure). If some commercial business (and I recognize these postings as non commercial, enthusiast to enthusiast or helpful advice to those who ask for it) but if some business tried to draw me into its door with a promise of X and the reality turned out to be nothing even resembling X, I wouldn't darken the doors again. There are scores and scores of internet pictures providing the ambiance or lack thereof for every "area" of the OBX and another under the guise of a "campground review" was worthless and not "Definitely worth a look." in terms of learning what Ocean Waves has to offer in the way of camping facilities etc. So I think those who are unhappy with what some have said about this original post probably just need to re read what was being sold. When someone tells me they are selling me a Porsche and it turns out to be a really nicely restored etc Corvair, I'm going to call it what it is. And I have filters but see no reason to filter the truth as I see it. FWIW

OK-- I looked at it and it really doesn't show anything about the CG. waste of time and poor advertisement, if that is what it's supposed to be.
Nothing to be gained by this sort of comment.:R

OP - Thanks for posting; enjoyed the video of the area. - jdphillips73ExplorerThanks everyone, I was trying to show the area as I could not find anything like this one the internet. Hopefully, this helps someone down the road.
- mdcampingExplorerNice drone video of the area. That said this is not a campground review.

While I agree about that it doesn't really show anything of the campground, I think the other comments are off base and uncalled for.
Nice drone footage. We were just at the Outer Banks and stayed at Oregon Inlet. We drove down through all the way to Ocracoke. Personally, we didn't care too much for the area that Ocean Waves and the KOA were in. Although the parks looked decent. But that was our opinion. We also didn't care too much for the wind and mosquitos (when out of the wind) up at Oregon Inlet. But we liked the Nags Head and north section as well as Ocracoke better than the Hatteras area....
