Ohio: Atwood Lake or Puderson Lake Lot Numbers

We are either going to Punderson or Atwood Lake in Ohio and would like for anyone that has been to either park if they have a favorite ROOMY lot number to park our 30 foot trailer and two dogs. Will need room to back in the trailer because I have a crew cab truck with an 8 foot bed to maneuver with. Thanks in advance.
  • I was just at punderson July 3rd. I had a blast. I took my 20 ft Midas and my Mazda 626. Most of the site's looked about the same size. I stayed in lot 194. There were plenty of big TT and trucks.

It was my first camping experience in the Midas. The fireworks display lasted over an hour in case anyone wants to go next year. Met some friendly people.

ok ive only been to punderson once and it was two years ago. I don't remember space being an issue but if I recall the nice sites were at the top of the hill near a water tower and they were the 140 to 150.

Also if you want room id look at salt fork. very spacious. Most campers are from stark and summit county.
  • I was at atwood a couple weeks ago and theres just no roomy lots. I have a 35 ft fifth wheel and I had to try a few lots and tell the front office which one I was able to fit in to. However if you decide to go its lot 314.

Now punderson is nice Ill look at map and try to see some good lots.

youll find ohio state parks usually have big lots and Muskingum watershed campgrounds cater to seasonal campers.

It sounds like im bashing atwood and I really shouldn't. its a nice lake and its adding full hook up spots that will probably be great. After that they are upgrading the rest of the campground in stages.
