Old Greenville

Thinking about this campground for a few days starting labor day. Will need to be first come first serve because of family circumstances that may cause a change of plans. need some privacy with shade and a big ole campfire. only live 2 hours from the campground but have never used it.
Any thoughts would be helpful, Thanks
  • Old Greenville is an interesting place to visit, but when we are in the area we use Redman Creek COE. Redman is a much better campground, better sites, more shade, and many walk up (first come sites). We have camped at Greenville once, and now we stay at Redman.
  • Sorry about that. Old Greenville is about 30 miles north of Poplar Bluff Missouri. It is on the site of the town of Greeville that was moved for the building of lake wapappello I think in the early 40's. It is about 100 miles south of St. Louis on Hwy. 67.
