Hey Everyone,I am planning a trip to Mexico with a stop to visit family in South Orange County CA.I have been looking at available RV spaces and was shocked to see $60-80 a night for some fairly basic accommodations.Call me cheap but I will dry camp @ WalMart before I spend $75 for basic RV space.Can anyone recommend a park with reasonable rates?As an alternative, can anyone tell me how I may fare parking my TV & 29' 5er in a residential area for a week?I fear I am turning into my Grandfather.... "I remember when we could have a hamburger for $0.25, I am not going to spend $2.00 for a hamburger!! I'll go hungry first!" :) :)Thanks

No doubt!!In my past travels the most I ever paid for an RV space was $50 a night. It pained me terribly to spend that much for what amounted to a gravel parking space with 15amp power an water (no sewer) but I did have a waterfront view of the Statue of Liberty, Battery Park and the Twin Towers.Frank: Thanks for the link. I haven't done a large search but many RV parks in the area are $55 a night for 50 amp. Long Beach is $55. Of course you can't park on the beach with 50 amps for that price. If you check out motel/hotel prices you are looking at least twice that amount. No free rides just because we RV. RV parks also have expences. JMHO

That alternative is a really bad idea. One night, maybe. A week? No way.

Try Dockweiler Beach. Right next to LAX, so it's not quiet, but it's not bad.

We're all turning into our parents.

Not in Orange Co but close. Prado Park in Chino on Euclid off the 71 about 5 mile north of the 91. $35 I think FHU no Wi-Fi or cable TV but you can get a bunch of TV stations off the air

If you're in south Orange county, there's O'Neill Regional Park (dry) and further south is Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park (FHU)
