Oregon Coast trip

We just returned from a ten days trip to the Oregon Coast. We spent a few days at Federal campground Tillicum Beach and then moved to Carl Washburn a state campground. Both had great access to the beach.
We had beautful sunny weather except for one day of rain.
Had a great time beachcombing and tide pooling.
It was hard to come home.

  • There's a good friendly poker game at the little bar/grill across the street from Turtle Rock rv park in Gold Beach. We always stop there when in the area. The Barnacle in town has good garlic fries, too.
  • We were here in May and back again now...we were in Brookings for a few days and now in Gold Beach. Weather looks good for the next week or so :) Ocean and sunshine....My Happy Place for sure
  • Just expanded my Thousand Trails involvement from Zone Pass (NE + SE +TC) to Elite so I could camp at the OR, WA, and CA preserves. Something to look forward to...
Will "fill in" with State and Federal campgrounds as they present themselves.
  • I know what you mean about leaving, it is an incredibly beautiful area. I want to go back.

Indeed, the whole West Coast-to-Coast trip is bucket list worthy.

We went inland to take the round-around I-101 when we hit WA and it's just as beautiful.
