Hi all, I am looking to head to the Outer Bank's towards the end of February. Can anyone tell me what to expect for weather at that time of year. Also, any recommended campgrounds. Thanks, Jas...

Cold, windy.
Your choices will be few.
We were there in late March last year. Only a few CG were open. None of the NPS sites or lighthouses.
We stayed at Sands of Time in Avon at Passport America rates. Basic CG, but met our needs.
We saw that Frisco Woods was open, and the Cape Hatteras KOA. The others in the lower island area appeared to be closed. Didn't check on any in the Kitty Hawk, Nags Head area.
