Hopefully PA campers can stay safe, wear masks and maintain distance. Some Southern California beaches reopened this last weekend. It was a disaster.

PA numbers are 40,049 infected with 1,537 deaths.

AND ALL State Campgrounds are opening Thursday, May 14th . .

If people are responsible and smart, it should work.

FYI. SC State Parks are open 5/1 for those with existing reservations. 5/11 for new reservations.

Thanks for the info... Looking for somewhere to go for 7-10 days around MDay since I'm highly doubting my own state will reopen campgrounds before mid-June.

Doesn’t appear to me that the South Carolina state parks are on the same page as the South Carolina health department.

The daily death rate has dropped....but the daily positive cases are still VERY HIGH.

And that’s to be expected somewhat. The parks are opening yet still promote social distancing, proper hygiene, no gatherings, and so on. The risk of being infected in a state park is really low, and many are willing to go. I’m far more likely to catch it in a grocery store than on my campsite, or walking through the woods. One can always find a way not to do something. Time to start getting back to normalcy.
