Thinking of making a trip to Palo Dura Canyon in October. Any suggestions for campgrounds, anything not to miss while there, etc. This will be our first time there.
I've been down in the Canyon twice in the past month. It's very nice with good facilities. I would stay in the 1st or 2nd camp ground. I just prefer that part of the canyon the most and felt the sites were better. I've stayed there in the spring several years ago for several days. It was a lot of fun. Fall is the very best time in the Texas Panhandle. Less wind, cooler temps., and not down right cold yet.
