Park model rental info

Hi,

My husband no longer wants to tow our camper. I really enjoy the fun of snowbirding at rv parks over a condo. I was wondering if anyone has any info pretaining to renting a park model at a rv park preferably in central to south Florida, Jan.to March 2016. Perhaps you have rented one and care to share info.

Thanks for your help.

  • Tropical Palms in Kissimmee, FL has monthly rentals on Park Models. I believe all of theirs include decks. On the web site they call them cottages, but they are park models.

  • You can rent a nice park model at Elite Resorts in Clermont FL only 12 miles to Disney and a nice park just a bit pricey.
  • We have friends that simple drive out to an area, rent a room, and start looking in the local papers including the church ones (their favorite.) They've been doing this for a few years now with no problems. Seems risky to me, but they say it's never been a problem.
  • Cal-Am.com parks in AZ usually has Park models to rent. Specifically I know that Mesa Regal does.
  • In the RGV of Texas most of the larger RV parks have park owned and private ones for rent. In most cases the park owned ones are advertised on their web-sites but the privates probably not.
  • The park, in Arizona, where we purchased our park model (we use it for the winter, then get in the motorhome again and go traveling) always has a list of park models for rent for winter months in the office. So just call some parks and ask.

  • We usually advertise ours on Craig's list, many others do too. Look under Vacation Rentals & sometimes under RV's for sale. Also it doesn't hurt to call on ones for sale and ask if they are willing to rent. Ours have been in Texas though. The other option is to drive through RV parks that interest you and look for, for rent and for sale signs and check with park offices. I wouldn't be afraid to go down and rent a motel room for a week while I drove around looking, many come up at the last minute due to illness & death.
