Park Model Wintering Recomendations for affordable RV Park

Hello all,

We're currently in a Park Model in Mesa, AZ. With the yearly rate increases pushing past our fixed budget (rent is now at $5,700 year), we're beginning our search for a new park. We're able to live just about anywhere in AZ, prefer to be a half-hour or so from a larger city with all the conveniences. Being very difficult to get rate information online, I thought I'd throw this out there and get your recommendations for an affordable 55+ RV Park.
We can sell our PM and buy another one, or if it makes sense we can have ours moved.
Thanks very much for your input!

Several of the parks in Apache Junction are cheaper than Mesa, I'd first look around there before going further out and having a long drive to the city. We are also in Mesa and yes, the site rents have gone up - - it is what it is.
  • Similar issues for those that rent apartments. SoCal particularly bad now. Rent is astronomical. Have you considered a non-park model and boondocking?
  • Try Desert Skies RV Resort; technically Littlefield Az but just about a mile from Mesquite Nevada. They are about 30 minutes from St George Utah, and about an hour to Las Vegas.

Very nice park, lots of park models and they have several park models for sale.

I don't know a lot about the whole park model thing; I am just a seasonal RV renter here.
  • Fiesta Grande, In Casa Grande about $3600.00 year

Close to shopping, Lots of amenities.
PM me if you care to
  • Desert Shadows RV Park in NW Phoenix has lower rate. I think it is around 4300.
    Best call them.
  • If you are willing to consider the Rio Grande Valley of Texas you can find many options for less than 1/2 the cost or buy your own lot and be further protected from large price increases. Warmer than most AZ locations too. Over 400 parks to choose from.
