We're in Mesa and the area where we have our park model has LOTS of empty sites - last year at this time everything was full. This year, plenty of sites for people. And we noticed that a number of park models that are owned by Canadians are not occupied this year. A couple have already been sold.
We, like most of our friends, have stayed home in Canada this year due mainly to the exchange rate on our dollar. As pensioners on fixed incomes we cannot afford to absorb a 30% hit. Just checked the rate and the Bank of Canada is paying $0.6923 versus the American dollar. This is better than the rate we would get from our own bank.
