- DutchmenSportExplorerThere are several campgrounds in Parke County Indiana and all of them are nice. We've stayed at Raccoon State Recreation Area many, many times over the years. My in-laws maintained a pontoon boat at the park marina for several years too.
All of the State Parks in the area are nice. Not all sites are full hook-up though, so you really need to check the Indiana DNR web site (Camping) to find out about each site.
State Parks in the are are Shades State Park, Turkey Run State Park, and Cecil M. Harden Lake/Raccoon SRA.
Go to Covered Bridges web site and click on the Where to Stay drop down at the top. Select "Campgrounds" for a list JUST inside Parke County. If you go to any of the surrounding areas, there are dozens and dozens of smaller and private campgrounds too. Do a Google Search.
While on the Covered Bridges web site, browse around. There's sooo much to see and do in the county.
One of the fun experiences we had was to spend a night in the old county jail in Rockville, which is now converted to bed and breakfast, complete with original bars and everything. Lots of history in that old building and the owners have done a fantastic job remodeling the old building into a true historical bed and breakfast. It's unique, you'll never have stayed anywhere like it. They say the building is haunted. But we never encountered anything unusual. We stayed on our 27th wedding anniversary:
That same trip we also visited Hard Core Pawn in Detroit Michigan (same anniversary week ... it was quite a trip): - accsysExplorerWe stayed at the Covered Bridge RV Park in Rockville this last September and found it OK but you don't want to be there during the Festival in October. We parked so that we occupied what would be two sites during the festival and there would be two more right next to us if it was full during the festival. That would be too tight for us. It did work very well for touring the bridges which took us two full days. You can look at our blog entry for that stay if you wish.
- Parrothead_MikeExplorerI'm responding to your post because it's a bit difficult to know where in Indiana Parke County is for the rest of the folks on RV.net. I checked it out and found that the major town within the county is Rockville, IN. Below is a link to RV Park Reviews.com for Rockville which lists 3 campgrounds with the info you're inquiring about.

Sounds like a nice area to explore. Good luck with your search and happy camping.
