Anyone have anything to say good ,bad or indifferent about Passport America Campgrounds memberships.

You're going to get good and bad with PA. It's very easy for it to pay for itself.
Many campgrounds only have certain sites available for the discount and, if they're rented, you're SOL. For example - Jolly Roger in Marathon, FL only offers the discount on the smaller internal sites. Then there are campgrounds where it doesn't matter and can get the discount on any site. Every campground is free to set whatever restriction it wants, as long as there is one site that they allow the discount to be applied to at some point.
