Well as I said I don't know exactly how direct the demand supply relationship is, or how elastic demand is if you prefer, but it will affect demand and that was my point and there are lots of examples in this thread where demand was increased at least some. There are also externalities, like I found a campsite in a region I am thinking of going too that is too small to be on the main search sites and guess where I am thinking of spending a couple of weeks and while it sounds like they are basically unrestricted half price in the time period so it will cost them something it could have been free advertising for them as the site sounds much like I was looking for (not sure yet, email replies seem to be getting routed away from northern Ontario to Arizona this time of the year for some strange reason ;-) )
