Paynes Creek, Lake Hartwell

Have tried a few of the COE's on Lake Hartwell, and looking at going to Paynes Creek. Would I have any trouble with a 40' fiver? Sites show they can handle it, but wondering about the roads in campground. Also, have read some sites have steep driveways in and out. Any sites I should stay away from? Any sites that you consider the "best" to have? Thanks.
