Peebles, OH campgrounds

Looking for experiences of campgrounds near Peebles, OH. I didn't find any current useful reviews on RV Park Reviews. Needs to be full hookup and big rig friendly. DW would like to see the serpent mound and we would explore the area for a few days. Thanks.
  • A little late, but if you also like to ride atvs or kayak, Mineral Springs Lake Resort in Peebles is a good choice.

  • Thanks for the comments. We like state parks and I booked 4 nights at Rocky Fork SP. Thanks again for the suggestions.
  • A little further north in Hillsboro, OH is Rocky Fork State Park. They have renovated several sites to accommodate bigger rigs and are right on the lake. Not too far a drive from Peebles and Serpent Mound.
  • Long's Retreat is a great campground but it has its issues! They don't take reservations, their FHU area is very tight and it is VERY BUSY/CROWDED on the weekends! We've stayed here many times but will only go during the week as the weekends are just nuts there. Their activities (go carts, water slides, beach etc.) is open to the public also and this is a very popular place! Just letting you know! :)
  • You are very close to Long's Retreat Campground. This is where we have our seasonal site. You'll love it. www.longsretreat.com
