Phoenix/Mesa rv parks

We will be heading to Phoenix/Mesa AZ area next week and trying to pick a park. We were hoping to find a large park with many amenities.
Mesa seems to have many but all with mostly park models and mixed reviews. Any experiences and recommendations. Thanks

Unfortunately, if you want a large park with lots of amenities you're going to have many, many Park Models in it.

You might take a look at this one. The last time we drove by there were no Park Models but it's only 150 sites and minimal activities.

Just left there this morning. Attended some spring training games. I enjoyed Eagle View, not much in park activities but on the edge of town so lots of open space adjacent. Nearby casino w/ restaurants. Attractive smaller clubhouse and pool, everyone we encountered there was friendly (employees and campers). Easy to get back to Scottsdale, Tempe etc. Very long back in sites.

  • This is our fourth snowbird season at Val Vista Villages (Cal Am), Main St and Val Vista.
Quite a mix here of park models, both older and newer, along with numerous RV's of all types. Four swimming pools with one indoors, new fitness center, new tennis courts, pickleball, you name it. My wife comes for the poker but they have a bit of everything. RV sites range from gravel to long concrete pads with BBQ. Lots of choices. Many locations I'm sure have lots of amenities and it will depend what your interested in.
  • If you're looking for activities and largeness, try any of the CalAm parks in Mesa, Apache Junction or Gold Canyon. Another suggestion are the Encore parks. (RVontheGo.com)The further east you get in Mesa the newer the parks. Most will have a mixture of park models and RV sections....Dennis

we normally stay at the Mesa Spirit RV Park. but it's also a snowbird park with a lot of park models. but it also has a large area of RVs. quiet, clean and a lot of activities during the season. those activities drop off at the end of march.
