The FastPasses are free, but let you cut the lines a lot. They're well worth it. Not complicated at all- just use the Disney website once you purchase tickets and before you go.
Unfortunately, EPCOT has only 2 major rides - Soarin' and Test Track. Soarin' is currently closed until June or so. Test Track is a bit more roller-coaster like.
You can drive to Epcot and park- even bigger rigs. Disney is well setup and will direct you once you're on property.
