thanks for your answers. i know that the Furnace Creek campground has been redone, and the sites have been re-numbered. after checking the new site map, it looks like the tent sites are 100-115. i'll probably get lucky, if not, the Sunset campground (not my favorite) is also open. but, considering the temperatures this time of year, the tent sites should be up for grabs. actually, the last time i went through Death Valley, I was coming back from Lone Pine where I got seriuosly flooded out (this was during this past summer). the hilarious part is, my brother and i try to go camping a lot, and no matter where we go it rains. we have been to death valley three times....and every time....we got rained on. in death valley. it's really pretty funny. thanks again for your answers, and your help. :-)
