Please - recommend cg Omaha/Council Bluffs, Nebraska

Thank you for the suggestions. We came across south of Interstate 80 and stayed in a very very nice quiet cg in Glenwood, IA. Glenwood Lake park and CG... reservations taken, 712-520-7175.

Clean Clean Clean Clean bathrooms and showers. Great Hosts.

I would recommend Walnut Creek Lake and Rec Area in Papillion. Papillion is a suburb of Omaha on the west side, not far off of I-80.

Second the casino. Just a parking lot with hookups, but close to the interstate with easy in and out.

Correct. No reservations. That's why I asked what day you were coming through. If during the week you'd have no issues getting in (especially with school started). If on Friday or Saturday you might have issues but you might not. I also heard that Wilson Island might be open now but I have not been able to confirm it yet. Anyway, sounds like you got it all figured out so happy camping and be sure to wave as you come through!

Thanks for those suggestions. I also located a cg in NE... Glenn Cunningham Lake, NE off of I680 (exit 9) then take Lake Cunningham Rd west a few miles.

Both Arrowhead County park in Neola, IA and Glenn Cunningham Lake (operated by the city of Omaha) are first come first serve and do not take reservations.

But electric site is only $15 and Glenn Cunningham will honor the Golden Age Passport card (they won't tell me how much they will honor it over the phone but they said that they did honor it.)

You might want to consider a reservation for Mahoney SP if it will be on a weekend. That place gets very busy in the summer. Also consider Arrowhead SP just north of CB at the Neola exit (just North of CB). It's just far enough from the hustle and bustle and very quiet.

Mahonnet state park....just a couple of minutes past omaha on I-80 (just past gretna), Ashland exit. We camp there frequently. Very clean and convienent.
