It's gravel pads and drives, unless it's been paved recently. We did a quick in/out there last year and it's certainly OK for an overnight visit. I didn't use any of the facilities such as laundry rooms, so can't speak to those. Given that it's in the middle of a field in Nebraska, and it's really an accessory to the corporate HQ store, I thought it was just fine. It was about half-full and quiet when we were there. Easy access and obviously convenient to the store.

Make sure you eat at Dude's Steak House in town. Great steaks.

I called for information and was told that the RV park is closed!!! Why keep a website if you are no longer in business???

Better call Cabela's ahead of time and make sure it's legal. Seems I saw somewhere that Nebraska doesn't allow overnighting in parking lots.

we have spent many a night in Sidney. We dry camp (park) at Cabela's with the truckers..or we go over to Walmart and park in their huge lot. Never had a problem at either place.

Stayed there both eastbound & westbound. Like mentioned gravel drive and spots. But was nice overnighting there with electric!

I stayed at the Sidney Cabelas in August. It is not an RV resort nor does it purport to be. It had deep, rather wide level gravel sites with water & electric. It is situated on a separate location within the complex such that there is no noise or traffic from store customers. Water pressure and power were good and though I don't remember their charge, my recollection is that it was reasonable for a plain, secure overnight with a large sporting goods store within an easy walk for entertainment.

Thanks for the info. Just FYI, the Bear Family RV Park info was given to me on Friday by the Nebraska Tourism people at the Sportman's Expo in Denver. I couldn't find anything, so inthught I'd check here. Again thx

If you want to continue another 37 miles west, there is an old KOA at Kimball, mile marker 22, private and family run, that is a decent place. FHU, good gravel roads, quiet and clean - at least it was the last time we over nighted there.

I have to agree with the others. I have stayed there in the parking lot at least 16 times over the last 8 years. We did stay in the CG one night when the temps had dropped down into the teens. My wife used the showers and she stated they were nice and clean. If I remember correctly one night was $16.00
