On a trip west, I stopped at the Cabela's in Sidney, NE. The greeter at the store happened to be one of the founders. We must have talked for an hour. He told me that they originally started in a second floor walkup in downtown Sidney and what they did to keep busy. When I left, I drove by it. The building was empty, but sure enough, the door was full of small holes. Arrow holes.
They've finally opened a store in a suburb of Cincinnati, where I live. I'm not into hunting or fishing, but they have an excellent collection of camping gear. And yes, I spent too much money.
