I just toss the outliers out when reading reviews. There is always that one person who believes that "rude staff" means "staff that might take exception when a person cuts in line in front of others."
However, it works the other way as well. I've seen one glowing review of a place describing themselves as a "five star resort", and the rest of the reviews stating in no uncertain terms to avoid the RV park. Finding a common denominator is important. For example, a RV park that doesn't stock bathrooms with paper products is a major demerit in my book, while another park that gets bashed because their Wi-Fi isn't that great (but everything else is) is a totally different story.
A RV park could be Nirvana, but because they may not have flawless Wi-Fi, they will get a 1/10 rating just because of that fact... and decent Wi-Fi is insanely expensive to offer.
