Ponce de Leon's - Fountain of Youth

Hey fellow RVers,
We wanted to share our trip to Ponce de Leon's state park in Florida's panhandle. It is a beautiful blue spring that was made it into a swimming hole with hiking trails around the park. It was awesome, but we highly recommend bringing a wet suit, or go during a Florida heat wave, because the water was cold! Great fun for the family. We put together a quick video of our trip for ya'll.

Thanks all.

  • LOL, almost all Florida springs are about the same temperature. Around 72 degrees year round. Just jump in and you'll adjust to the cool water quickly. Now when we visited Lake Superior in mid-summer we found really cold water. But the locals were wading around in it anyway.
  • Been there and loved it. What a nice respite from a day of on the road. Beautiful area and great lunch break for us.
  • The state of Florida is blessed with many freshwater springs that are fabulous for cooling off and snorkeling.
