- kalynzooExplorerWe've always enjoyed Rest-A-While campground on the Hood River Canal along the 101. The campground is fair but the view on a riverside site is fantastic. Truly restful.
- SwanInWAExplorerHurricane Ridge is a must-see for sure. Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. Webster's Woods Art Park (super cool!) Heart O' the Hills Campground.
- ValkyriebushExplorer IIYour pretty close to the Sol Duc hot springs resort! Day pass about 10 bucks. Relax and enjoy! Ferry to Victoria.
- mockturtleExplorer IISalt Creek Recreation Area is a beautiful campground just 16 miles from Port Angleles on the Strait with water & electric sites. Plenty of room for big rigs.

Hoodsport is about one and one-half hour drive from Port Angeles
(PS it's Hood Canal, not Hood River, Hood River is in Oregon) - n7bsnExplorerI'm guessing you are also taking a ferry over to Victoria, if not, you should

X2 on victoria. It makes a fun day. Hurricane ridge is also a nice place to visit. - crabbin_cabinExplorer IIOur favorite campground is The John Wayne Marina campground in Sequim. Facing the bay and close to P.A/ Hood canal, Olympic N.P. sites etc.
- Finally_TimeExplorerSame friends and I caravanned to Port Angeles last spring. We stayed at Elwah Dam RV Park. It's close to everything, full hook-ups and has a country setting. Hurricane Ridge is a must and we really enjoyed Lake Crescent and lunch in the Lake Crescent Lodge. It’s a nice scenic drive and a short walk to Cape Flattery, Washington, the North-western-most Point in the Continental US.
- myredracerExplorer IIA visit to Port Townsend is nice if driving north up 101 on the eastern side of the Olympic Peninsula. It's a small town with heritage buildings and retail shops along the waterfront. There is a ferry out of Port Townsend over to Whidbey Island which is a fun ride. From Whidbey Island, you could head over to Anacortes and take the ferry from there over to Vancouver Island.
Or from Whidbey Island, you could make your way up to the border and from Tsawwassen, BC (about 1/2 hour from the border), take the ferry over to Swartz Bay on the Island which is close to Victoria. Then take the Port Angeles ferry back to the US.
You could do a loop around the Olympic Peninsula and take hwy 101 on the west side of the park and then head back on 101 to Ca. on the east side of the park.
If you wanted, you could park your MH in Port Angeles and walk onto the MV Coho to get over to Victoria for a day trip. The ship docks right in downtown Victoria and you don't have to have a vehicle to get around unless you want to see the surrounding area.
I would visit Olympic National Park. It's awesome. Hurricane Ridge is just south of Port Angeles. The 2nd pic is the visitors center at Hurricane Ridge.
This is an excellent book for RV camping in Washington State and is written by RV-ers. Kalaloch CG at Forks is on the water and highly recommended by them. Reportedly very busy so book well in advance, that is, if anything is left.
