Here we are as far from pavemant as we can get in a couple of hours.
We wake up to Deer every morning grazing around the camp site. We saw a Martin scampering through the site not once but twice in the last week. That's a first for me. Usually they are quite shy of people.
There were about 8 other campers in the area. We never heard or saw them except whe we went to get suppllies and had to drive around the campsites.
Nordegg is a hamlet of a town near the Rockies. There are massive campgrounds(in area, not people) abundant in the area. Lots of FREE firewood in most of them or you can go get your own in the woods. Deadfall galore. Just bring a chainsaw, a cheap one will do. There is water nearby for the trailer and a dumpsite in the town. But all the camp grounds have washrooms (well maintained toilets, cleaned every day). It's rustic camping at it's best. Yes, you have to beaware there are bears in the area and cougars. Although I haven't ever seen any, there are warnings posted and there was a cougar spotted in the camp about 2 weeks ago and the park ranger came around to warn everyone.

Now THATS camping....now all you need is a nice river/stream for fishing....:B
