I've been to a few parks where sites with a view of a lake or pond were convenient for both motorhomes and towables. The layout consisted of an access road along the shore of the lake or pond, with back-in sites at about a 45 degree angle to the road, but only on the off side, away from the water. There were no sites on the water side of the road. One park even had pull-thrus laid out that way.
