Quartzite is empty

I believe this years show runs from 1/18/14 through 1/26/14.

I realize there's a zillion acres of dry camping space that may or may not be occupied but I don't think you can find availability at any of the RV Parks in the area. I wanted 3 nights in town but could only book two when I made reservations in November. RV Parks all along the Colorado River are also sold out. Somebody's planning on attending the event. I believe the area will be crazy crowded. I'll let you know when I return.

It's a month later, January 2nd 2014. Whens the big show start, with the minerals? And are the crowds arriving, or staying home this new year.

Your not comparing apples to apples. You can't ride a Green Sticker toy on the street in CA the last I heard but can in AZ. So you can only compare the Green Sticker to the AZ Off Road Sticker cost. Sounds like they both are $50 for a two year period so I stand corrected on the cost, they are equal. It has been a while and I remembered the $50 but not the correct time frame. I only pay $63/year for $250,000/$500,000 coverage on my dirt bike (can also ride on street) and my Insurance Carrier is also in the PHX area. Most of the guys I know use Foremost to cover their toys including myself. I have been with them for 10 years and have covered UTV, Dirt Bikes & Street Bike. Does sound like you are getting to enjoy riding both in AZ & CA and that is what it is all about. Everything else is just words.

Don't know where you came up with that assumption? Also love UT, ID, CO, NV, NM and more. Never said anywhere I limited myself to AZ n Mexico. Surprisingly there are many locations in CA I enjoy.

Just a quick note on the ATV trails in La Posa. The BLM has released its EIR on the transportation management plan. They are recommending a general 50percent reduction in trails available to off-road vehicles.... The public comment period is over in a couple days.
How they are going to enforce that in Q is anyone's guess as there are trails just about everywhere.

rocmoc thinks Mexico and Southern AZ are just fine for him. YMMV, I'll choose to spend my $ elsewhere, where I get something for my tax $. AZ is fine for mtn biking and offroading, but the fly fishing sucks, not enough water for fish, or all of PHX.

The Green Sticker Program in CA restricts what kind of toy (2 stroke / 4 stroke & etc), where you can ride thu out the year, no legal riding on the paved roads/streets & sticker cost is 2+ times the AZ cost. The AZ off road sticker, which started about 3 years ago, just collects my $ supposedly to help support off roading. You can ride any type of toy any where as long as the area is open for play (a few areas around PHX closed because of dust) & the rules of the area. Must stay on existing roads & trails. Very few areas allow new trail blazing / open riding. Tho in 10 years of riding where I live in So. AZ I have never seen any type of LEO where I ride. AND you can ride legal on the streets. I leave from the house & ride the streets to my riding location. No trailer or pickup required, it's GREAT! You can do the same at most if not all camping sites in Quartzsite. Enjoyed myself when I was there. Took my UTV on that trip and explored mines.
