I found the music distracting
No mention of Tyson wells and the Bradshaw trail
The Patton army camp was at Bouse, not Quartzsite - bka0721Explorer IIThanks for putting this video together and for your time.
It is always a two edged sword, when someone solicits opinions. But in photo forums, much of the information is truly beneficial, if the solicitor truly wants the feedback.
Overall, I liked it and would watch it again. That is always a positive.
The editing was good in providing good transitions from numerous Point of Views. Some of the transitions were abrupt and could be more consistent with the commonality that was shown in the whole of the video. Some of the subjects were just too quick, as in the POV of the Vendors. Lingering can be a personal choice, when it comes to what is included and what is not.
Being conscious of the framed shot being level is really important in a video like this. So many of the shots were not level. This was very distracting. Set your Television at an angle and try watching it. That is what happens when a viewer watches a program that is filmed this way. The eye searches for vertical and horizontal references.
The narration was probably the thing that was the biggest problem, for me as the viewer. In writing and narration there is something called; plain speaking. A good example is when the word; The, is spoken it is spoken as; Thuuh. When some read it out loud, from a script, it often comes out; Theeeea. (This did not occur in your video, but only using the word The, to illustrate a point) To the ear, one catches it quickly. Much of the narration sounded too much like someone was reading a script written in front of them. There are many techniques to get beyond this and often are found in public speaking classes. Also, the tone of the narrator was fairly one tone and the levity, sounded, well, read. Try taking the script, read it, set it aside and then talk it. Standing up, while narrating, is something many use for looping animated movies and is a good technique to try. I liked the narrator’s voice and would encourage the narrator to continue doing projects like this. With practice it will sound more natural, which this one didn’t.
When providing a critique, one should provide a reasonable solution, as well. I made a point to provide this in my critique. Thank you for allowing an opportunity for feedback. You two are very brave people and wonderful in sharing this “short” with us.
Yes, this short was good for showing Quartzsite and it’s great things and it’s warts, too.

- More_To_SeeExplorerVery, very good. Head and shoulders above anything else I've seen about the Q. And coincidentally I had just spent some time the last couple days going through a bunch of U-tube videos about RVing and the Q so I have some immediate feel for what's out there.
Your video should be referred to anytime somebody out there wants to know what the Q is all about.
While watching I was hoping you would actually show some of the camping areas - which you did. Those who have never been there just can't picture "where you camp" and you video shows it. Maybe someday show all them so everybody will have some idea of what each area "feels" like.
Well done.
