- katrina1ExplorerBlythe is a great choice even if you are camping. I stayed there at Mayflower County Park for the last two winters with a great bunch of regular snowbirds. Not so much dust as in Quartzsite, grass, quiet, good stores and restaurants nearby, planned activities like ice cream socials, potlucks, and lawn bowling, right on the Colorado river, close enough to the state line to get cheaper gas at the Flying J, not far from Quartzsite, great Christmas parade, great Bluegrass Festival. Can't go this year but looking forward to getting back there when I can.
- catkinsExplorer IIStrongly second the stay in Blythe idea. About 25 minutes up the freeway from Quartzsite. Much better choices for restaurants and other services also.
ATV question - hundreds of miles of trails and road available to ride on. Can ride it to town on trails from the BLM land or on the roads if properly licensed for on road use. Best part of being in Q is playing on the desert with the ATVS with friends. - cekkkExplorerD&E, thanks. I'll be looking for a place in Blythe. Appreciated.
- hugemothExplorerLots of twisty trails but not much for twisty roads.

We want to go to the January RV show but don't want to move our trailer here in Gold Canyon. Are there any motels you'd recommend that we can check for vacancies? And we will bring our Rhino.
There is really only one motel in Q. The Super 8. Nothing fancy. The Q.Yachtclub has old trailers for rent-I personally do not recommend-but the food at the yachtclub is good. An the old Stagecoach motel is open. Have seen a few cars there. I would stay in Blythe, lots of nice motels and only a 20 mile ride. Real grocery stores,a Kmart, and restaurants(including a Sizzler). Or, you could stay at Blue Water casino and resort in Parker, its 40 miles north of Q, indoor pool ,hot tubs and waterslide. Rooms are reasonable. Did I mention its 40 miles. But its a good choice. Dona - LowRyterExplorerI am pavement rider. Are there some twisty roads for sport riding ?

- AKsnowcampersExplorerThank you everyone, When planing on what to carry back and forth from home in AK everything is questionable :B
- revumpExplorerWe just shop and go to the show
- MaverickBBDExplorerOMG YES! Once you have been there you will see want a silly question that is. You really want an experience stay in Brenda (Black Rock RV) and take it back and forth into town on BLM land.
