- rocmocExplorerThank you everyone, will also look into the tax thingy.
rocmoc n AZ/Mexico - bobsallyhExplorer IISome battery distributors in AZ. also have a deal that you pay no sales tax on batteries for a solar system. Discount Solar has this deal, it is sort of like an affidavit that batteries will be used in a solar system. Also a distributor in Yuma offers the same thing. Most battery sales will give you that "deer in the headlight" look when you mention it. Don't try Sams Club or Cosco because they are not participants.

Another good thing about solar products in Arizona, there is no sales tax!
Why not, live here and have not heard Solar is exempt from sales tax? The vendor is probability including the sales tax in his sales price rather than breaking it out.

It's to get us to buy locally rather than online. Our house is 100% off-grid and we paid no state tax. We have a 5 year federal tax credit, as well.

We had Discount Solar install ours and have been very happy with everything about it. Probably the only place I would go in Q.
