Well the big tent show should have been a huge success if only for for the great weather all week. I of course don't know how the venders did with sales. But if they didn't do good it wasn't because of the crowds or weather witch were all great. The traffic was again as in years past backed up getting to the big tent so tat means they had good head count. So me thinks it was a good week for all and now on Monday after a perfect week it changed to light rain today. Still not cold to be be sure. But for us longer time BLM visitors nice to see the rain dappen down the dust. We are close up in the La Posa West long term visitor area and MANY of the RV rigs have left. This is a "We came and now we are leaving event". I trust they got the T-Shirt and are Happy Campers and are on their next adventure. I you are just now heading to Q do come as many venders will stay so shopping will still be good. Instead of several venders selling the same things now only a few will be left selling what you are looking for.

I was a weekend early, and was really surprised how packed it was, both inside the big tent, and on the north side also with all the rows of vendors. Did anyone venture on down to Yuma also this year?

Lower fuel prices have allowed many to make a trip that $4 a gallon prices would not allow. Sure glad to hear that business has been great this winter!Wish I had been able to make the trip, it sounds like a lot of fun and some time to relax in the desert would be great too!Fred.

Yip -- the town is emptying out. We talked with a couple of friends that are vendors. They had a VERY good year. :) I hope all of them did. No comments like "I won't come back next year" overheard. :) :)We're headed for Wellton -- east of Yuma by 20 miles. Looking forward to the big flea market (?) we keep hearing about. That and a jaunt over to Mexico is on our agenda. :)

Well I was there Sunday. 9:40 AM coming from the south turned left into the tent parking area. Never stopped, not even on 95 until I got into the pull-thru parking place I used for the truck. A little background as it was 12 years ago the first visit to the tent. It has progressively gone down hill. There are more people in Frys Grocery and parking is harder at the Foothils Yuma location. Plenty of square footage available in tent and they have changed the middle aisle around as to not show what used to be vendor space. Prices on most things are cheaper in Yuma and even the one outfit that was outside the tent that is in Yuma had their "Quartzsite" sir charge built in. Shoot, Goodyear Tire and Rubber out of Akron used to have tech reps there, B & W Turnover Ball and Body Builders used to be there and a whole bunch more. If the town of Quartzsite and Kenny, the owner of the tent don't get together that place could be history within this decade.

I agree. There were a lot more folks and RVs at this year's event than in years past. The price of fuel, I'm sure, had a lot to do with that. I enjoyed the big tent show. Always have.

Where in Yuma? We were at Arizona Market Place last weekend and it was a joke. We left Q on the Tuesday of the show as there were way to many people for us so we went to Yuma for the rest of the week.
